We are looking for a passionate clinician to take on a full-time or part-time Optometrist job, offering up to £64,000 per year and the chance to deliver vital eye care across the region. This is a unique opportunity to provide mobile optical services to patients in their own homes, helping people who struggle to reach the high street unaided.
What you'll be doing as an Optometrist in Edinburgh
- Visit around six to seven patients a day in their own homes, supported by a fully expensed company car for both business and personal use
- Conduct longer, one-hour appointments that allow you to build genuine relationships and deliver high standards of care
- Use the latest mobile equipment, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer, and a paperless digital records system
- Make autonomous clinical decisions with the reassurance that a senior team at head office is always available for a second opinion in minutes
- Clear a waiting list of patients eager for access to trusted at-home care
What we're looking for
- A fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
- Passionate about delivering clinically excellent eye care outside of a traditional practice setting
- Comfortable working independently while welcoming support and CPD development
- Driven to help people who cannot access high street opticians unaided
Salary and benefits
- Up to £64,000 per annum, depending on experience
- 4 or 5 days a week with no weekends
- Monthly commission and strong bonus structure
