We are currently recruiting an Optometrist jobs Ipswich opening for a community-based 4 or 5 days a week role, offering a competitive salary of up to £74,000 per annum depending on experience. This position allows you to deliver vital eye care directly to patients in their own homes across the East of England, helping individuals who cannot easily reach a traditional high street practice.
What you'll be doing
- Visit around 6 to 7 patients a day in their own homes, supported by longer one-hour appointments that give you time for thorough examinations
- Use the latest mobile equipment, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and a digital records system for paperless operation
- Make autonomous clinical decisions while having access to a senior clinical team at head office for a second opinion or support within minutes
- Complete comprehensive training before working independently
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
- Passionate about delivering clinically excellent eye care outside of a traditional practice setting
- Willingness to travel across the local area using a provided vehicle
Salary and benefits
