What you'll be doing
- Delivering exceptional customer service to every person who walks through the door
- Helping patients choose frames and lenses that suit their lifestyle, prescription, and budget
- Dispensing and fitting glasses, making necessary adjustments and minor repairs
- Booking appointments, managing diary schedules, and handling general reception duties
- Carrying out pre-screening tests, including OCT scans and visual fields, where trained
- Maintaining high standards of presentation across the practice floor and display areas
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service, retail, or optical environment is welcomed, though full training is provided
- Excellent communication and listening skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
- Good attention to detail and confidence working with numbers
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new clinical and retail skills
- A reliable team player who is comfortable supporting colleagues during busy periods
