What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers into the practice and delivering a warm, professional first impression
- Helping patients browse frames, offering styling advice, and explaining lens options to suit their lifestyle
- Taking accurate facial measurements and dispensing spectacles to high optical standards
- Adjusting, repairing, and fitting glasses to ensure a comfortable and secure fit
- Booking appointments, managing diary schedules, and handling telephone or face-to-face enquiries
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-stocked retail floor showcasing the latest eyewear collections
- Supporting colleagues across the practice to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient care
What we're looking for
- Previous customer service or retail experience, ideally within a healthcare or optical environment
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable, and patient-focused manner
- Attention to detail when recording measurements, handling cash, and processing orders
- A collaborative team player who is keen to learn new skills and adapt to daily priorities
- The ability to work independently when managing customer interactions and administrative tasks
