What you'll be doing
- Delivering a high standard of customer service to every patient who walks through the doors
- Dispensing spectacles and helping customers choose frames that suit their prescription and personal style
- Undertaking pre-screening duties, including autorefraction, visual field testing, and pressure checks
- Booking appointments, managing diary schedules, and handling general reception enquiries
- Ensuring the practice sales floor, display units and consulting rooms remain clean, tidy, and well-stocked
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working within an optical practice or a customer-facing retail environment
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable telephone and in-person manner
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and developing product knowledge
Salary and benefits
- £11.44 to £12.50 per hour, depending on experience
