We are currently recruiting for Optical Assistant jobs available at a modern, high-street practice located in Brent Cross Shopping Centre, offering a permanent, part-time contract of 20 hours per week. This customer-facing role gives you the chance to join a supportive team where you will help patients select frames and lenses while delivering exceptional service.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming patients into the practice and managing appointments
- Guiding customers through frame and lens selection based on their lifestyle and prescription needs
- Dispensing spectacles, adjusting frames for a comfortable fit, and carrying out minor repairs
- Pre-screening patients using automated equipment before their eye examination
- Maintaining a clean, well-stocked and welcoming retail floor
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service, retail or optical environment is welcomed, though full training is provided
- A confident, approachable and professional communication style
- Strong attention to detail and good basic IT skills
- A genuine enthusiasm for helping people and working as part of a close-knit team
