We are looking for a customer-focused team member to take on a permanent 23.25 hours per week Optical Assistant role based in Hinckley. What you'll be doing
- Welcoming patients to the practice and helping them feel at ease from the moment they arrive
- Dispensing spectacles to a high standard, taking accurate measurements, and adjusting frames for a comfortable fit
- Guiding customers through lens options, coatings, and styles to suit their visual and lifestyle needs
- Booking appointments, managing enquiries over the phone, and handling general reception duties
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-stocked sales floor to ensure the best possible customer experience
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a patient-facing environment
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Good attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and technology
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn about optical products and eye health
