We are currently recruiting for Optical Assistant jobs in Bristol, offering a permanent contract working 38.75 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity to join a customer-focused practice in the heart of Bristol, where you will play a key part in delivering high standards of patient care and service.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming patients into the practice and guiding them through their visit
- Dispensing spectacles and helping customers choose frames and lenses that suit their lifestyle and prescription needs
- Undertaking pre-screening duties, including autorefraction and optical coherence tomography (OCT) where required
- Booking appointments and managing customer queries in person, over the phone, and via email
- Maintaining the visual merchandising of the practice floor and ensuring displays are clean and well-stocked
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment, ideally within optics
- A friendly, approachable manner with a passion for helping people
- Strong communication and listening skills
- The ability to work well within a busy team and use your own initiative
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to administrative tasks
