We are recruiting for a temporary Optical Assistant jobs opportunity based in Sandhurst, offering a 15-hour per week fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on position within a welcoming practice, giving you the chance to support customers with their eyewear choices while working as part of a busy team.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers to the practice and helping them navigate the store
- Guiding patients through frame selection, fitting, and adjustments
- Taking accurate measurements and dispensing glasses to suit individual prescriptions
- Handling general queries, booking appointments, and supporting day-to-day practice operations
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or optical environment is helpful, though full training is provided
- Strong communication skills and a confident, friendly manner
- Attention to detail when handling prescriptions and measurements
- A reliable and flexible approach to supporting the team during store hours
