What you'll be doing
- Welcoming patients to the practice and managing appointments in person and over the phone
- Dispensing frames and lenses tailored to individual customer prescriptions and lifestyle needs
- Carrying out pre-screening tests, including autorefraction and tonometry, prior to optometrist examinations
- Adjusting, repairing and fitting spectacles to ensure a comfortable and precise fit
- Promoting promotions, designer eyewear ranges and additional optical products
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and merchandising across the practice floor
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in retail, customer service or a healthcare setting is advantageous, though full training is provided
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Strong attention to detail and confidence in dealing with numbers and data entry
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
- Flexibility to support with operational needs as required by the practice
