We are recruiting an Optical Assistant for a permanent, full-time role on Portishead High Street, offering a great opportunity to join a busy practice in Bristol. This position requires a minimum of six months of optical experience and the flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns throughout the week, including weekend shifts.
What you'll be doing
- Providing a warm, professional welcome to every customer who enters the practice
- Guiding patients through frame selection, lens options, and accurate measurements
- Dispensing spectacles to various prescriptions and adjusting frames for a comfortable fit
- Handling pre-screening and diagnostic tests prior to customer eye examinations
- Booking appointments, managing enquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records
- Supporting the wider team to ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently every day
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 6 months of optical experience gained within a practice environment
