We are currently recruiting an Optical Assistant for a permanent flexible position on Gallowtree Gate, offering candidates looking for jobs in Leicester a great opportunity to join a busy high street practice. This role requires a minimum of 6 months of optical experience and the ability to travel to different stores across the local area.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting patients with frame selection, styling advice, and dispensing adjustments
- Delivering an exceptional standard of customer service on the shop floor
- Carrying out pre-screening tests, including OCT and visual fields, as required
- Supporting the wider team with general practice administration and reception duties
- Working a variety of shift patterns, which include evening and weekend shifts
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 6 months of optical experience
- Flexibility to work across a variety of shift patterns throughout the week
- Ability to travel to different stores across a geographical area
- Must be over 18 years of age due to operational restrictions
- A welcoming and confident communicator with a passion for patient care
