What you'll be doing
- Providing a warm welcome to patients and customers visiting the practice
- Dispensing spectacles and helping people choose frames to suit their prescription and style
- Carrying out pre-screening tests and supporting optometrists with clinical routines
- Adjusting, repairing, and fitting glasses to ensure a comfortable and accurate fit
- Travelling to various practice locations within the local region to provide cover as required
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or retail environment, ideally within optics
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, friendly telephone manner
- The ability to work well within a busy team and adapt to changing daily priorities
- Flexibility to travel across a wider geographical area to support different sites
- Availability to work regular weekend shifts as part of your standard rota
