We are looking for a qualified Dispensing Optician for permanent Dispensing Optician jobs in Nailsea, working 37.5 hours per week across Monday to Sunday. This full-time position is based in a busy local practice offering competitive compensation and professional support.
What you'll be doing
- Dispensing spectacles and optical appliances to all prescription types
- Working alongside the resident optometrist to deliver clinical care
- Supporting two student dispensing opticians with training and development in-store
- Advising patients on frame choices, lens options, and coatings to suit their lifestyle
- Ensuring all dispensing records and administrative tasks are completed accurately
What we're looking for
- GOC registered Dispensing Optician with a valid license to practice in the UK
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- Experience supporting or mentoring trainees or students
- Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team across flexible days including weekends
