We are looking for a qualified Dispensing Optician to join a busy practice located in The Orchard Centre, offered on a permanent, full-time contract of 37.5 hours per week covering Monday to Saturday. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the resident optometrist while helping patients select frames from a large collection that includes designer and exclusive ranges.
What you'll be doing
- Dispensing spectacles and optical appliances to all prescription types
- Providing expert advice on lenses, coatings, and frame fitting to suit individual lifestyle needs
- Working closely with the resident optometrist and wider store team to deliver a smooth patient journey
- Helping customers navigate a diverse frame collection, from everyday styles to branded ranges
- Ensuring all dispensing records and administrative tasks are completed accurately
What we're looking for
- GOC registered Dispensing Optician with a current, unrestricted licence to practice
- Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a retail team environment
- Attention to detail and confidence in handling complex prescriptions
