We are hiring for an Optical Assistant jobs Cambridge vacancy on a permanent, full-time basis requiring flexible shift patterns including weekends, offering a great opportunity to join our team in the heart of the city.
This permanent position requires you to commit to the advertised schedule on a long-term basis, working a variety of shifts throughout the week to support our busy store.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering exceptional customer service to every patient who walks through the doors
- Dispensing glasses and frames to suit individual customer needs and prescriptions
- Conducting pre-screening eye tests, including optical coherence tomography and visual fields
- Fitting, adjusting, and repairing frames to ensure a comfortable and correct fit
- Managing bookings, answering customer queries, and handling reception duties

- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or healthcare environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping people
- A flexible approach to working hours, including availability for weekend shifts
