We are opening the doors to a brand-new practice in Sheffield, and we are currently recruiting for four permanent full-time Optical Assistant jobs to help shape something special from day one. What you'll be doing
- Providing a warm welcome to every patient who walks through the door, ensuring they feel valued and looked after
- Guiding patients through their initial journey, including pre-screening and initial frame selection
- Dispensing spectacles to suit a wide range of lifestyle and optical needs, offering expert advice on lenses and coatings
- Booking appointments, managing enquiries, and handling general reception duties to keep the practice running smoothly
- Working collaboratively with the wider clinical and retail team to meet practice goals and deliver exceptional service
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or retail environment, ideally within optics or healthcare, though full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with a natural flair for building rapport with people from all walks of life
- A proactive, adaptable approach and a willingness to learn new skills in a brand-new practice setting
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
