We are seeking a customer-focused team member for permanent, full-time hours at a busy practice on Fore Street. This permanent opportunity offers the chance to build a rewarding career in optics while helping patients find the right frames and lenses in a friendly environment.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering a warm, professional welcome to every patient visiting the practice
- Dispensing spectacles and helping customers select frames that suit their prescription, style, and budget
- Conducting pre-screening tests, including optical coherence tomography and visual fields, where trained
- Adjusting, repairing, and fitting eyewear to ensure a comfortable and accurate fit
- Managing bookings, answering telephone enquiries, and handling administrative tasks on the shop floor
- Travelling to support different stores across a local geographical area as required
What we're looking for
- A passion for customer service and retail or healthcare experience
- The ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with patients of all ages
- A flexible approach to working a variety of shift patterns throughout the week, including weekend shifts
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about optical products and eye health
- The ability to travel to different stores within the region
