What does this Mobile Dispensing Optician role involve?

As a Mobile Dispensing Optician, you will travel between different practices within a defined geographical area to provide essential cover. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional patient care and supporting regulated dispensing.

You will:

Role model, lead, and deliver exceptional care, guiding patients and customers in making informed choices about optical and healthcare products.
Work flexibly across the designated area, adapting to business needs and continuously developing your expertise.
Provide specialist knowledge for patients with more complex optical requirements.
Deliver comprehensive healthcare solutions and mentor other optical team members.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to offer integrated health solutions.
Supervise the development and training of colleagues, including students.
Adhere to professional standards and current clinical policies and procedures.
Support the optical team in efficient operations, ensuring legal and safe trading.
Participate in leadership meetings to maintain high clinical standards and patient safety.
Embrace digital advancements and introduce customers to relevant tools.

Requirements for this Mobile Dispensing Optician position

To be successful in this Mobile Dispensing Optician vacancy, you will need:

Registration with the General Optical Council (GOC).
Proven optical experience and expertise.
Excellent relationship-building skills, working with diverse stakeholders including store leaders, peers, customers, and external professionals.
High clinical standards.
A proactive approach to learning and development, completing all required Continuing Education and Training (CET).
Willingness and ability to travel to different practices within the region.
