What does this Optometrist role involve?

As an Optometrist, you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding patient care within the community. You will utilise cutting-edge testing technology to conduct comprehensive eye health assessments and provide expert advice to patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading clinics and providing exceptional patient care.
• Employing the latest testing technology for eye health assessments and expert advice.
• Delivering enhanced optical services, including triage support and advanced assessments, as needed by the practice.
• Offering clinical support and guidance to colleagues on the shop floor.
• Collaborating effectively with external healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining and sharing up-to-date clinical knowledge with the team.
• Playing a key role in the store's leadership team, contributing energy and insights.

Requirements for this Optometrist position

Essential qualifications and attributes include:

• GOC registration (or expected registration within 6 months).
• A valid NHS performer number (or actively working towards obtaining one).
• Exceptional communication and organisational abilities.
• A genuine passion for patient care and collaborative teamwork.

Desirable, but not essential, experience:

• Experience in supporting enhanced optical services.
• A solid understanding of local clinical networks.
