We are looking for a customer-focused team member to take on a temporary fixed-term position, providing 6 hours per week of support for anyone browsing Optical Assistant jobs. What you'll be doing
- Welcoming patients into the practice and managing appointments
- Dispensing spectacles and helping customers select frames and lenses
- Carrying out pre-screening tests, including visual acuity and pressure checks
- Adjusting and repairing eyewear to ensure a comfortable fit
- Handling queries by phone, email, and in person
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail environment is preferred
- A friendly, approachable manner with strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions and patient data
- The ability to work well within a close-knit team
