We are recruiting an Optometrist for a flagship clinic in Glasgow City Centre, with 4 long days available with evenings and no weekend work. This permanent 4 long days per week position offers a market-leading salary alongside full refractive and cataract surgery training.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver a diverse range of clinical eye care services as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside experienced ophthalmologists
- Conduct pre and post-operative consultations for refractive and cataract surgery patients
- Provide clinical support to ophthalmologists during refractive surgery and assist the hub administrative team when required
- Deliver procedures as part of the multi-disciplinary YAG capsulotomy service
- Provide Essential and Advanced Eye examinations and conduct patient consultations via telemedicine
- Review incoming referrals from GPs, other primary care routes, and professional colleagues in the referral triage team to allocate them to the appropriate ophthalmology clinic
What we're looking for
- GOC registration with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience
- Independent Prescribing qualification preferred
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes
- The ability to work collaboratively within a busy, professional team environment
