Requirements
To excel as an Optometrist at John Fell Ltd in Derbyshire Dales, GOC registration is essential. You will require a recognised degree in Optometry (BSc or MOptom) and successful completion of a pre-registration programme.
We expect proficiency in core clinical skills, including comprehensive sight testing, contact lens fitting, thorough fundus examination, and the ability to interpret OCT scans. Excellent patient communication and attention to detail are paramount for providing exceptional care within our community practice.
The ability to engage effectively in multidisciplinary teamwork is also key. Additional qualifications such as independent prescribing, glaucoma accreditation, or WOPEC modules would be highly advantageous, demonstrating a commitment to specialised patient care.
