About this role
Jill R Hughes Opticians in Charnwood seeks a dedicated Optical Assistant to join their practice. This role is fundamental to patient experience and the efficient operation of the practice.
As the first point of contact, you will warmly welcome patients, manage appointment schedules, and conduct essential pre-screening tests, including:
- Autorefraction
- Tonometry
- Visual fields
You will also support patients in frame selection, provide basic adjustments and repairs to eyewear, and meticulously process spectacle and contact lens orders. Maintaining a tidy and welcoming practice environment is a key responsibility, ensuring a positive atmosphere for all visitors. Your contribution is central to the smooth running of the practice.
