About this role
J:D Opticians in Newark and Sherwood is seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join their practice at 17/19 Appletongate, NG24 1JR.
As the first point of contact for patients, you will be instrumental in the smooth running of the practice. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients warmly and managing appointment schedules efficiently.
- Conducting pre-screening tests such as autorefraction, tonometry, and visual fields.
- Providing expert assistance with frame selection, ensuring patients find suitable eyewear.
- Performing basic frame adjustments and repairs to maintain patient satisfaction.
- Processing new orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the practice floor.
