About this role
Henry Smith & Hamylton Opticians in Wigston, Leicestershire, seeks a Qualified Dispensing Optician (QDO) to join their established practice. This role is central to delivering exceptional patient care by translating optometrist prescriptions into high-quality eyewear solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting complex optical prescriptions.
- Providing expert guidance on frame and lens choices, considering individual patient needs and lifestyles.
- Taking precise measurements to ensure optimal fit and visual performance.
- Fitting and adjusting spectacles, guaranteeing patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Managing challenging dispensing cases with a high degree of technical skill.
- Conducting contact lens aftercare where appropriate.
You will collaborate closely with optometrists and the wider practice team to ensure a seamless patient journey from examination through to final dispensing and aftercare. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated optical setting in Oadby and Wigston.
