About this role
At Henry Smith & Hamylton Opticians (Syston) HG, a Qualified Dispensing Optician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for accurately interpreting ophthalmic prescriptions, guiding patients through frame and lens choices, and taking precise measurements to ensure optimal fit.
Your duties will include:
- Fitting and adjusting spectacles to individual needs.
- Managing complex dispensing cases, including multifocals and specialised lenses.
- Providing contact lens fitting and aftercare, where relevant.
Working collaboratively with the optometrist and the practice team, you will contribute to a seamless patient journey, from initial examination through to the final dispensing of eyewear. This position requires a high level of technical skill and patient communication.
