About this role
Future Vision (Northampton) is seeking a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join their West Northamptonshire practice. This role focuses on translating optometrist prescriptions into practical eyewear solutions.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting optical prescriptions with precision.
- Advising patients on frame and lens choices, considering both visual needs and aesthetic preferences.
- Taking accurate ocular and facial measurements for optimal spectacle fitting.
- Fitting, adjusting, and dispensing spectacles to ensure comfort and performance.
- Managing complex dispensing cases and providing guidance on specialist eyewear.
- Delivering contact lens aftercare and fitting where appropriate.
You will collaborate closely with the optometrist and the wider practice team to ensure a comprehensive and high-quality patient journey, from initial examination through to final dispensing and follow-up.
