Dixons Opticians in Sleaford is seeking a skilled Qualified Dispensing Optician (QDO) to join their North Kesteven practice. This role is central to delivering exceptional patient care, translating optometrist prescriptions into precise optical solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting ophthalmic prescriptions accurately.
- Advising patients on frame and lens choices, considering their visual needs and lifestyle.
- Taking precise measurements for optimal spectacle fitting.
- Fitting and adjusting spectacles, ensuring comfort and functionality.
- Managing more complex dispensing cases, demonstrating advanced technical knowledge.
- Providing contact lens aftercare and support where relevant.
The QDO collaborates closely with the optometrist and the entire practice team to ensure a seamless and comprehensive patient journey. You will be instrumental in providing a high standard of service from initial consultation through to final dispensed product.
