About this role
Derbyshire Eyecare (DI Blow) in Belper seeks a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join their Amber Valley practice. This role is central to translating optometrist findings into optimal visual solutions for patients.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting ophthalmic prescriptions accurately.
- Advising patients on appropriate frame styles and lens technologies.
- Taking precise measurements for spectacle fitting and manufacturing.
- Fitting, adjusting, and dispensing spectacles to ensure patient comfort and visual acuity.
- Managing complex dispensing cases and providing expert advice.
- Conducting contact lens aftercare appointments where relevant.
You will work collaboratively with the optometrist and the wider practice team to ensure a seamless and comprehensive patient journey. This position offers the opportunity to apply your dispensing expertise within a well-established optical setting.
