About this role
DayNight Eyecare in Derby is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join their established practice. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive eye care to a diverse local demographic.

Requirements
To excel as an Optometrist at DayNight Eyecare in Derby, GOC registration is essential. You will need a recognised degree in Optometry (BSc or MOptom), successfully completed your pre-registration year, and possess a comprehensive understanding of optometric principles and practices.
We expect proficiency in core clinical skills, including thorough sight testing, contact lens fitting and aftercare, fundus examination, and OCT interpretation. A strong commitment to patient communication and attention to detail is paramount. You should also be comfortable with multidisciplinary teamwork, collaborating effectively with colleagues.
While not mandatory, additional qualifications such as independent prescribing, glaucoma accreditation, or WOPEC modules would be highly advantageous. These demonstrate a commitment to advanced patient care and professional development.
