Optometrist
David Farrall in South Derbyshire seeks a dedicated Optometrist to join their established practice. You will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, assessing vision and eye health for a diverse local patient demographic.

Requirements
To join David Farrall as an Optometrist at our South Derbyshire practice, GOC registration is essential. You will need a recognised qualification, such as a BSc or MOptom in Optometry, and successful completion of a pre-registration year.
We expect a strong command of core clinical skills, including comprehensive sight testing, contact lens fitting, and dilated fundus examinations. Proficiency in interpreting OCT scans is also a key requirement.
Beyond clinical expertise, excellent patient communication and meticulous attention to detail are paramount. The ability to engage in multidisciplinary teamwork will ensure seamless patient care.
While not mandatory, additional qualifications such as independent prescribing, glaucoma accreditation, or WOPEC qualifications would be highly advantageous.
