About this role
As an Optical Assistant at D I Blow (Sutton-In-Ashfield) (HO), you are the initial point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your role is fundamental to the smooth operation of the practice.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients and managing appointment schedules.
- Conducting pre-screening tests such as autorefraction, tonometry, and visual fields.
- Assisting patients with frame selection and providing basic adjustments and repairs.
- Processing optical orders and maintaining the presentation of the practice floor.
You will play a central role in supporting the optometrists and ensuring every patient receives excellent care from arrival to departure.
