About this role
Adams Opticians in Gedling is seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join their practice. This role is fundamental to the patient journey, serving as the initial point of contact for all visitors.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Warmly greeting patients and managing appointment schedules efficiently.
- Conducting essential pre-screening tests, such as autorefraction, tonometry, and visual fields, to prepare patients for the optometrist.
- Assisting patients with frame selection, offering expert advice and support.
- Performing basic frame adjustments and minor repairs to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Processing orders accurately and maintaining clear communication with labs and suppliers.
- Maintaining the presentation and organisation of the practice floor, ensuring a welcoming environment.
As a key member of the team, you will play a central role in the smooth and efficient operation of the practice at 19 High St, Gedling.
